Is Darkness The Opposite Of Light, Or The Absence of?

I n order for there to be an absolute, there must be an absolute opposite.
There can be no good without evil.
There can be no hot without cold.
No black without white.
So there has to be a positive side to all things right?
I'm sure it doesn't always feel that way.
In the case of heat and cold, there is no such thing as "Cold" or cold energy, cold is referred to as absence of heat or heat energy.
Why am I saying this?
Bear with me please.
You can never have darkness.
Darkness is an absence of light.
Let's not get scientific.
I'll keep things simple for those of us that don't care for scientific jargon (namely me).
When you are in a pitch black room, and you light the tiniest of matches, until that match burns out, you have light don't you?
If you are outside on the brightest day of summer, where is the dark?
Can you bring it with you?
Have you tried?
What am I getting at?
When you're living in the darkness of your mind, or any kind of disbelief or despair, you aren't letting any light in.
Sometimes it's hard, but that little bit of light can grow pretty big, and pretty strong, pretty quickly.
If you let it.
Until next time, keep taking the red pill, and call me in the morning.
